Barley

Barley is often used as a substitute for rice. It is used to make soup, stew and bread. Barley contains a small amount of fat, and a lot of fiber which helps with lowering blood cholesterol. It is easy to digest. It contains protein, iron, vitamin B, especially vitamin B5 which is necessary for metabolism.  

Barley is highly nutritious. It calms down the nervous system. It is good for the liver. It contains a lot of minerals (calcium, potassium, phosphorous).
